Tirzepatide / Mounjaro / Zepbound

For Tirzepatide, marketed as Mounjaro for type 2 diabetes and as Zepbound for chronic weight management, the usual adult starting dose is 2.5 mg injected subcutaneously once a week. After four weeks, it’s typically increased to 5 mg per week. If more control is needed, it can be raised in 2.5 mg increments every four weeks, up to a maximum of 15 mg once a week. Administration can be any time of day, with or without meals, and injections should be rotated between the abdomen, thigh, or upper arm. If a dose is missed and it’s within four days of the scheduled time, it should be taken as soon as possible; otherwise, it should be skipped until the next scheduled dose (Drugs.com).
